RITUAL 7: 5 Habits for Healthy Skin

This time of year, my skin tends to mimic the ups and downs of the changing weather. But, I am taking this social distancing as a chance to revitalize my skincare routine! Here are a few daily habits that have helped keep my skin smooth and glowing:   1. DRINK PLENTY OF WATER Water plays an essential role in maintaining a healthy body, and that goes for healthy skin too! Drinking plenty of water will help rid your body of any bad toxins which can improve the complexion of your skin. We also tend to retain water when we aren’t getting enough of it, so staying hydrated will help to reduce puffiness. 2. DON'T SKIP THE SPF When the sun isn’t...

RITUAL 6: New Years Anti-Resolutions

This time of year is all about New Year Resolutions. We are all about looking introspectively at our lives - it allows us find ways to improve. It can be hard to not get down on yourself though when all you focus on what you should be doing. So, this year, we are creating an anti-resolution list to start 2020 off on the right foot. What is an anti-resolution? Much like resolutions, the list is meant to help you take stock of the things you’d like to change. However, the focus is on what you won’t do this year. I tend to gravitate towards yoga in the winter months to stretch out any tight muscles and keep me feeling balanced. I also try and walk more in the...

Inspired By: Sculptor, Nicole Cherubini

For our next ‘Inspired By’ series, we highlight the work of notable artist and sculptor, Nicole Cherubini. Nicole’s work references traditional ceramics and sculptures, but it is her unique use of objects and unexpected bases that modernizes her pieces. Her ingenuity in combining old and new makes for a collection of distinctive abstract pieces. Nicole is known for blending the line between craft, decor, and art. Her work uses techniques of ornamentation, assemblage, and coiling to meld the visual aesthetic of modern sculpture while keeping the historical use of the materials intact. The layers of texture, color, and forms come together to make one singular art form - which allows viewers to reconsider the traditional use of ceramic sculpture....

RITUAL 4: Living Consciously

Occasionally I get a little bit of a lost feeling, or feel out of focus. Most people feel a sense of ‘unconscious living’ at some point - whether that’s finding ourselves in a job that isn’t fulfilling, filling our days with busy work instead of working towards a goal, wishing we could spend more time with loved ones, or simply feeling stuck in a rut. It’s these moments that make me reset and focus on living consciously.Living consciously can mean a variety of things to different people, but what is truly boils down to is making conscious choices rather than doing things without thinking. That can be anything and everything from making better eco-friendly choices adding ritual into parts of...
